Singing & Vocal Development
It may sound like a foreign language when your child sings “ta” and “ti-ti,” but they are using the language of professional musicians and composers and getting ready to read and write simple rhythm patterns.

Movement
You’ll see your child dance expressively to music, giving her the practice she needs to coordinate her body movements to the sound of music. Finding fun things for kids like musical play not only improves musicianship, but her physical coordination as well.

Focused Listening
Your child will learn to identify a range of orchestra instruments and their sound qualities. They will also gain an early awareness and knowledge of composers and masterworks in Western arts tradition.

Musical Instruments
Familiarity with orchestral instruments while also learning to play the glockenspiel (keyboard experience), dulcimer (stringed instrument), and recorder (wind instrument) exposes your child to the many choices for future musical study, providing the opportunity to succeed musically before beginning more formal instruction.

Musical Concepts
Prepare to be amazed at your child’s knowledge of musical structures (such as phrases) and expressive qualities (such as dynamics and tempo). Your child’s command of a vocabulary to name and describe elements and qualities of music will give a new sense of confidence in his ability to understand and share music, and prepare him for applying those concepts later in more formal music lessons.
